Welcome to the Captain's Blog
Original title, huh?
We thought it was time to get a blog set up for Frontiers and see if we could make something interesting out of it. The "Making Of" feature our reader and friend "Terminus" is making seems to be quite popular, so perhaps something like this will go over nicely as well.
At the moment, updates will be made by myself and my co-exec, Jay Everington. I might open it up to all of our writers eventually. And of course, we'll be working on a more customized appearance. Jay is planning a series of specials during our hiatus for here in the blog as well, so keep an eye out for those!
So, what are we up to at the moment in Frontierland? Working out the storyline for our first (and VST's first) feature film. Yes, originally it was going to be a miniseries, but a lack of both time and writers prompted us to tighten the storyline up a bit and turn it into a film.
A movie based on a series while the series is still on the air isn't unprecedented. The X-Files had a pretty successful film come out after its fifth season. And while in many circles, the show is thought to have lost quality after its film, I don't think that will be the case here. We've got some exciting stuff planned for season three. But more on that in a later blog entry.
For now, welcome to the Frontiers blog!
